What is Odd Fellowship?
Discover a fraternal tradition that has united men and women in friendship, love, and truth for over two centuries.
A Rich Heritage
The Independent Order of Odd Fellows (I.O.O.F.) was founded in Baltimore, Maryland on April 26, 1819. Thomas Wildey and four fellow Odd Fellows from England established what would become one of the largest and oldest fraternal organizations in the world.
The name "Odd Fellows" comes from 18th century England, where members were considered "odd" for their willingness to help those in need during an era when such charity was uncommon among common people.
Today, Odd Fellows lodges exist across the globe, united by shared values and a commitment to making the world a better place through acts of friendship, love, and truth.
